The Dusty Owl Reading Series: Jan 16 + Feb 6‏

The Dusty Owl Reading Series, for the next couple of months, will be featuring special guest-hosts in place of Steve Zytveld, as we support his ongoing schooling at St. Paul's University. Learning is good!

The next two events at the Dusty Owl Reading Series are:

1) Sunday, January 16, 2011
featuring poet and fiction writer Anita Dolman
There is nothing as fun as starting the new year with a writer who is expanding their written universe into a new area of work. Renowned for her poetry, Anita Dolman will be taking the Dusty Owl stage to share short
fiction.

Anita Dolman is a writer and editor living in Ottawa. Her poetry and short short-fiction has appeared in numerous journals, chapbooks, e-publications and magazines, including The Antigonish Review, the Peter F. Yacht Club, Panoply, Grain Magazine, One Cent, Geist, Utne, The Fiddlehead, and Prism international. Her poetry can also be found in the anthology Decalogue: ten Ottawa poets (Chaudiere Books, Ottawa, 2006).

As part of Steve Zytveld's spring term at school, this event will be lovingly guest-hosted by rob mclennan;
2) Sunday, February 6, 2011
Bywords Warms the Night; launch of the new issue
of the Bywords Quarterly Journal
8th annual fundraiser for the Cornerstone Women's Shelter & launch of the winter issue of the Bywords Quarterly Journal; www.bywords.ca
Music by Marie-Jose Houle and poetry by Jason Abdelahdi, Joseph Hutt, John Kehoe, rob mclennan & Tim Mook Sang.
