The term "fantasy baseball league," he discovered, has absolutely nothing to do with "
imaginary baseball league." He always presumed it was like his sister's book club, a social excuse for distraction, complaint and white wine, but even his sister would argue. "We read serious books," she snapped. Perhaps all his ideas were imaginary, his accumulation of life-long presumptions equally flawed. Where did this come from? His girlfriend mentioned that couples break up most over money. Depending on how you were raised, you were either spender or saver. He knows he a saver, but could he trust her judgment any more than his own?
